Meghan has many years of experience working with high-risk pediatric patients in both the in-patient and out-patient realm, including administering and monitoring enteral and parental nutrition. She spent over five years working one-on-one with pregnant and lactating mothers, providing nutrition, disease management, and lactation support. Meghan has over 15 years in the sports nutrition arena, racing in triathlons, road and mountain biking events, and trail running at the individual and collegiate level. She currently works in public health, educating elementary-aged students about nutrition and providing them with hands-on experiences with food.
Through this diverse work experience, Meghan has encountered disordered eating on many levels and has a desire to share evidence-based nutrition education so individuals can enjoy the many stages of life. She uses a gentle and collaborative approach to support people during their wellness journey. Her goal is to help people build a positive relationship with food and an appreciation for their body, while balancing the many life stressors that are thrown at us.
Meghan attended James Madison University and received a Bachelor of Science in both Public Health and Nutrition. She moved to North Carolina, where she attended Western Carolina University and completed her dietetic internship and Masters of Health Sciences in Nutrition.
