Disordered Eating

We believe that the best approach to care is a team approach. We will work alongside your outpatient providers to help you identify and utilize self-care and coping tools that will help you mend your relationship with food and find the joy in food again.

We see you as a whole person who brings unique experiences, and we’ll tailor an individual approach that allows you to incorporate your personal goals and values into recovery. We focus on a non-diet approach in achieving balanced nutrition and sustainable health goals.

Who We Treat

We treat adults, adolescents, and children who have a complicated relationship with food and their bodies. Individuals may be diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OSFED, ARFID, or struggle with use of disordered eating behaviors with no formal diagnosis. We create an environment that is supportive to all body shapes, sizes, abilities, and gender expression.

What We Do

  • Individual nutrition sessions focused on self-care strategies and tailored to your unique needs
  • Education surrounding the body’s nutritional needs
  • Building intuitive eating skills to recognize the body’s hunger and fullness cues
  • Assessment of current nutritional status and food patterns
  • Conquering food fears and challenges
  • Individualized meal planning
  • Individual grocery tours
  • Meal/snack challenges and meal support
  • Coordination of professional services with other recovery team members
  • Family and email support along the way

Outcomes

We believe in full recovery where the individual can experience food and exercise in ways that are not ruled by concerns over size, shape, and numbers. This recovery can include eating a variety of foods, in a variety of settings, and moving one’s body in a way that fosters health and wellbeing.
